Typelogo;

When I was doing the idea generation I thought of the name Aztec Attack was a pretty good name so, to match the name I researched the Aztec times and saw Aztec temples which I though looked good then looked at spears and found a spear that could have been used for underlining the name of the game.

Boss Character;

I searched for quite an intimidating Aztec boss so I thought of getting an Aztec god. This picture is exactly what i was looking for so i didn't really want to add much however i decided to get another weapon that i can place on his back.

Player;

I wanted to create a player that is based from a vehicle that has a gun you can shoot on the top. I decided that a Jeep in my opinion is the most relate able to a game based on the jungles. I also wanted a big gun that was on top of the car.

Illustrator;

Typelogo,

To start of my tracing for the Typelogo I started to trace the border of the temple and the individual sections. I left the middle out as I wanted to do the stairs on another layer.

Next, I made a new layer I to trace the stairs onto. This makes it easier to select what part of the image I want to highlight.

This is the next major change to the image, I traced the inner details to the temple and the doorway. These details gives the image more depth and makes it look like bricks.

Then I added the name of the game and the spear to finish this image. The spear is used to underline the name of the game to make it standout. The spear has a shadow under it to make it seem the sun is shining on it.

This is the final outcome.

Player;

I started out with the body of the car as it will be a good base image to work from. I also decided to add the outline for the door so you know its there.

Then I added the tires onto the body of the image then above the tires I added the tire guards as well as the back light.

After that I did the roof of the vehicle and outlined the windows on the front and the sides. I also traced the bumper and the grill on the front.

Just before I finished the vector image I traced the gun that is on top of the vehicle. I did struggle with this part as the image of the gun was rather pixelated so I decided to just use my own imagination for this part.

This is the final outcome of the player image.

Boss;

I traced the body of the boss once again as I think it is the easier thing to do and to work from when doing the later layers.

Next I focused on the robe, I really enjoyed this part because I could make the body look 5x better with the robe as I think it adds depth.

After that I went on to do the head. The head was rather difficult to me as I had to do multiple layers for it to make it look like the raster image.

Then i come to the shield and spear. This part was, to me, the main thing of this image. The shield is what your eyes focus on wen you look at this image so I wanted it to stand out.

After that I did the robe around his waist to make him look like he is following certain traditions of their tribes.

Finally I added the feathers on the bottom of the shield for a little bit of detail.

This is the final outcome.
